FCCLA

Purpose: FCCLA stands for family, career, and community leaders of America. It is a service organization within family and consumer sciences. Within this organization we hope to provide personal growth, leadership development, and the opportunity to gain career preparation opportunities.

Meetings: General meeting times are the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. These are sometimes meetings of the entire group or just committee meetings.

How to Join: Anyone can join FCCLA who is in grades 9-12. You do not have to be enrolled in any Family and Consumer Science classes to join.

Yearly Activities: Grocery Goblins, Halloween Fun Fair, Breakfast with Santa, and Winter dance are a few of the activities we do from year to year.

Community Service: The different opportunities that we give our students throughout the year are service opportunities. Grocery Goblins is an activity that we do to collect food for the Shannon food pantry. Breakfast with Santa is an event to raise money for a specific community needs such as Toys for Tots or buying gifts for a needy family. We also have a give back committee that looks at the needs of our two communities and finds ways that we can reach out and help.
