Student Council

Purpose: The purpose of the high school student council it to promote the general welfare of the high school in terms of school spirit, high ideals, and good citizenship. The student council also promotes a cooperative spirit between students, faculty and staff, as well as the community. 


Meetings: General meeting times are the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month during Learning Lab. Committee meetings are held as needed. 


How to Join: Candidates have to complete an application which includes a paragraph stating why they want to be a member of student council, as well as what they hope to accomplish, an idea for a fundraiser that would benefit a charitable organization, and a possible community service project that could be implemented during the next school year.


Yearly Activities: Welcome back to school treats, homecoming activities, Grocery Goblins, Fall Workshop, American Education Week, Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, Awareness Week activities, Blood Drive, Spring Convention, Earth Day activities, May Baskets, State Convention.
