My Background:
I was born and raised just outside of Pearl City on a farm.  After graduating from Pearl City High School, I went on to what is now Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana.  I studied elementary and special education.  Upon graduation, I came to teach at Eastland Elementary in Lanark as the Kindergarten through 3rd grade Resource Teacher.  After teaching five years as a special education teacher, I taught three years in Kindergarten followed by two years in 2nd grade.  During that time, I also completed my Masters in Special Education from Abilene Christian University.  In the fall of 2016, I decided to work on obtaining my Director of Special Education from Illinois State University.  I will finish this endorsement in May of 2018.
My family and I live in Lanark.  We have three daughters; Brianna, Chase, and Isabelle.  My husband, Jamie and I love keeping our family active by riding bikes, camping, and fishing.  Our family also has a passion for mission work both internationally and locally.  We have spent time in Mexico working in remote areas, as well as worked with our church's youth group, and witnessed to children in Alaska through locally ran vacation Bible schools.

"God loves you and has chosen you as his own special people. So be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient.  Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you.  Love is more important than anything else. It is what ties everything completely together."
-Colossians 3:12-14
