Eastland Athletic Club Scholarship - Deadline: April 10th
New $1,000 scholarship for Eastland athletes! Must have participated in sports every year of high school, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and be going on to some sort of postsecondary education (i.e. college, trade school, etc.). See flyer for details.


Freedom Township Scholarship 
 -   deadline:   May 10th
Write an essay on how Township Government impacts you along with a summary of your future goals. I nclude resume of activities and future goals.   See attached flyer for emailing instructions. Must live in Freedom Township! 

Stateline Music Foundation Scholarship - deadline: April 13th

A $500 scholarship opportunity for students who are majoring in music. Contact the email on the attached flyer to get the application. An audition is also required. 

$300 scholarships for a student who is going to college and is a member or is related to a member of a county Home and Community Education Association for at least 3 years. 


Cornerstone Credit Union     - deadline:   April 5th

Must be member of Credit Union by April 5th.     6 - $1,500 scholarships open to anyone who is a member.   See attached flyer for more details.

$500 scholarship available!       Qualifications for applicants:   any member of the Boyle-Hoy American Legion Post (who are in good standing) and their family members (children or grandchildren), OR any college student who has not received the scholarship before and is a relative of a Legion member OR any graduating senior from Eastland High school who has a Shannon address.   Please see attached application  for specific details.    


Carroll County Youth in Ag Scholarship - deadline: March 31
Any graduating senior in Carroll County who is involved in 4-H or FFA is eligible to apply. Scholarship is for college, trade schools, & junior colleges.
 

Highland Community College Scholarships:     deadline:  April 1st
Students who are Highland-bound can now access their easy to use scholarship search engine.       Deadline for most scholarships is April 1st.       If you are going to Highland, don't miss out on these scholarships!


Write a one page essay expressing how they have valued and utilized the Lanark Public Library as well as briefly sharing their plans for further education.     (Must be a patron of Lanark Public Library).   Turn 1 page essay into Mrs. Pilgrim.

This scholarship is in loving memory of Vicki Stiefel-Lartz who passed away in May 2020 after a battle with cancer.   All students are eligible to apply - only requirement is an essay . See flyer for details.

TBK Bank Scholarship - deadline: April 1st
HS seniors who are on track to graduate and live in Carroll County (other counties that TBK serves also included) are eligible to apply. Multiple $1,000 scholarships available. Must be below $65,000 for income.

Esther Hutmacher Parriott Scholarship  -    deadline:  March 15th
To be considered for the Esther Hutmacher Parriott Scholarship:      You must reside in Stephenson County, but live outside the city of Freeport, and you must be a high school senior or have graduated from school within the last six years.      Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the following:  rank in class, economic and financial need, standardized test scores (SAT scores), and academic potential.       $1,000-$2,5000 scholarships available.

Carroll County Republican Women's Scholarship-     deadline:     March 29th

$500 Scholarship.     Eligibility:     any graduating senior from Carroll County who is enrolling in a 2 or 4 year accredited college/university in fall 2022 with GPA of at least 3.0, had demonstrated good moral character, strong leadership skills and a concern for the local community.

My Friend's Closet Thrift Store Scholarship :     deadline:   March 28th
4 - $2,000 scholarships available to students in the area.     No specific eligibility requirements!  D on't miss out.



Students who attend WACC may be eligible for a WACC scholarship.  Scholarships can be found on WACC's website.

Solutions Bank Scholarship-   deadline:     April 1, 2024
$1,000 scholarship for local high school graduates who will be chosen based on their academic record, extracurricular and community involvement, leadership records, well-defined educational goals, and personal references.   

Carroll County Livestock Feeders Association    - deadline:       March 31st

$500 scholarship.  Applicants should have an agriculture background, and applicant or parent/guardian must belong to the Carroll County Livestock Feeders Association either as an active or associate member. 

Citizens State Bank Scholarship    - deadline:     April 12th
Graduating seniors from our area are eligible to apply.     Make sure to read directions on application thoroughly and complete all sections!     MANY $500 scholarships available!

Sinnissippi Human Service Career Scholarship   - March 15
$1,000 scholarships for students who are pursuing a course of study with a declare major in a human services field.     Must be attending a college in IL.  

Requirements for $1,500 scholarships include:   HS graduation, GPA of 3.0 or higher, majoring in Ag related field, and resident of certain territories (see website).

 Carroll County Help Center Scholarship
   deadline:     March 25th 

The Carroll County Help Center will offer 3-$500.00 scholarships to 2023 graduating seniors from any of the three high schools in Carroll County Scholarships are for prospective students loo   king to the future by pursuing training at a Community College and/or a Vocational/Technical School.       Each scholarship is for a 1-2 year    vocational/technical program    and will be given only toward Tuition, paid directly to the school of acceptance.     We welcome applicants in vocational fields that include but are not limited to CNA, agricultural business, auto mechanics, data processing, laboratory tech, secretarial, etc.    Cl ick HERE for application!   

*Funding for these scholarships is derived from the sale of used items through the Carroll County Thrift Shop in Savanna.       We are pleased to be able to offer these yearly scholarships to help our youth further their education.   

Carroll County Soil & Water Conversation District - March 31, 2024

$500 scholarship to a Carroll County youth who is or has graduated from a Carroll County school to further his/her education beyond high school in an agricultural field.   This includes fields such as Agribusiness, Forestry, Agronomy, Ag-Economics, Natural Resources, Aquaculture, Wildlife Management, Agri-Science, etc. Click   herefor application and here for more information.


Hispanic Business Leaders Scholarship - deadline: April 1st
Students who have at least 1 parent with Hispanic ancestry are eligible to apply. Student must reside in the Sauk Valley Area and pursue a business related degree at a 2 or 4 year institution.

Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Scholarship   -deadline:   March 1
Applicants must be current residents or students in the Sauk Valley Area.       Scholarships will be awarded based on agricultural background, educational and career goals, extracurricular activities and civic involvement as well as the overall quality of the application.     Students should be pursuing careers in the field of agriculture.

Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Manufacturing Scholarship:   April 1st

$500 scholarships for students who are seniors or students enrolled at SVCC or MIT or currently a WACC student.    Students should be planning to pursue a career in Manufacturing.   

$1,000 to a high school senior pursuing a college major in Agronomy, Automotive, or Construction. See application for specific requirements.


Horatio Alger Scholarships   - deadline:   March 15th
Thousands of Dollars in scholarships awarded!    As one of the nation's largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives.   Requirements:   high school senior, desire to complete bachelor's degree, financial need, involved, GPA of 2.0 or higher.   National, State, Career & Technical, and Targeted Scholarships are all available through this association.  There are many available to both 11th and 12th graders!

Morrison Institute of Technology - Spring 2024
$1,000 scholarship available to seniors from Eastland headed to Morrison Institute of Technology.   See Mrs. Pilgrim!

Applicants must be one of the following: dependant son/daughter of US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Guardsman, or Marine who has become permenantely disabled as a result of an opperational mission or taining accident; dependant son/daughter of a Soldier (etc.) who has een killed in action; or the dependant son/daughther of a Soldier (etc.) who has been classified as a POW or MIA.   Applicants must also be a senior in high school or currently enrolled as a full time undergraduate student.

Sigma Nu Faternity for Univ. of Illinois  - deadline: June 1st
High school senior male's planning to attend University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana with above a 3.0 GPA are eligible to apply. See flyer for more details.
$1,000 one year non-renewable merit based award.   Eligibility Requirements: applicant must be pursuing studies in chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering, demonstrate a high level of academic achievement in science or related area, resident of Bureau, Carroll, Henderson, Henry, Jo Davies, Mercer, Rock Island, Warren, or Whiteside counties, and entering their freshmen year of college in the fall of 2018.

Northern IL Antique Dealers Association - deadline: May 15, 2018
Two $1,000 scholarships for students who are HS seniors enrolling in 2-4 year institution of higher learning or students who are currently enrolled in college. Scholarships are for students who are studying History, Design, Arts, Historic Preservation, or a related field.  

I L Hospital Research & Education Fund  - deadline: April 15, 2018

$1,000 scholarships to individuals pursuing degrees in the medical field. Must have 3.5 GPA or higher. Application is attached.


Joyce Betz Memorial Scholarship - deadline: January 1, 2019
$1,000 scholarship in memory of Joyce Betz. Must be IL senior or college freshmen. Must have 3.0 GPA and be a IL 4-H Participant.   See application for more details.  


Mercyhealth Scholarships  - deadline: February 8, 2019
A variety of scholarships available for students going into the Healthcare field. Read through packet to see if you qualify! (Eastland is in the Mercyhealth service area).

Dorothy Guentner Memorial Scholarship  - deadline: March 1st

The scholarship is for $500.00 to be awarded to a student who will be attending Highland Community College.  One scholarship per year will be awarded. Eastland, Pearl City, and West Carroll are the schools being offered the scholarship (Dorothy taught in all these districts). Money will be paid directly to Highland after 1st semester and enrollment in 2nd semester is proven. Students are responsible for sending this information to the scholarship committee. Scholarship will be recognized at Seniors Awards Night.


Daughters of American Revolution Scholarship  Deadline: February 15t

Scholarships for students who are US citizens and meet a variety of criteria. There are General Scholarships, Political Sci, History, Govt, & Economics, Nursing, Specific Scholarships, American Indian, and DAR Good Citizen.All scholarships are over $1,000 - many great opportunities!

Rolling Hills Progress Center -  deadline: April 1st
Carroll County HS seniors are eligible but must be enrolled in 2 year or 4 year post- secondary institution. Primary consideration will be given to those going into special education, teaching, nursing, social work, psychology, physical, or speech therapy.  Must apply to Eastland Community Scholarship to be eligible!  Must write additional essay. Mike Rowe Work Ethic Scholarship  - deadline: March 28, 2019
Scholarship for students enrolled or planning to enroll in a trade program (auto, aviation tech, carpentry, farming and agriculture, manufacturing, etc.. .see website for entire list).  

CGH Auxillary Healthcare Scholarships     - deadline: April 1

Multiple scholarships for one application!  Applicant must reside in CGH Medical Center service area (Whiteside, Lee, Carroll, Ogle, and Bureau counties) and have proof of acceptance in accredited nursing program OR proof of acceptance in accredited healthcare program (such as physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology technology, etc.).  This DOES NOT include pre-med, pre-physical therapy or other type designations.  Demonstration of financial need and 3.0 GPA also required.


Must be HS senior, GPA of 3.0, planning to go to college next year, and be of Hispanic heritage. Recipients are selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their excellence in various educational categories.

Hamilton Scholars - deadline: January 29th
$500 scholarship and involvement in a five-year Alexander Hamilton Scholar Empowerment Program. Must be US citizen and have household adjusted gross income of less than $100,000. Must also attend NY Leader Week on July 11-16th

National Defense Transportation Association Scholarship/Award - deadline: March 1, 2020
IL residents are eligible to apply (HS seniors and college students). Priority is give to those in a degree program related to business, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or physical distribution.  

IL Retired Teachers Foundation Scholarship:   deadline: March 7th

$1,500 scholarships for students who are residents of IL or have graduated from IL high schools, they must be in accredited teacher training program, have a 3.0 GPA and share copy of college transcript. Township Officials of IL - deadline: March 1, 2020
Requirements: graduating IL high school senior with GPA of 3.0, US citizen and resident of IL planning to attend a university/college in IL, should have history of extracurricular activities that demonstrates a willingness to accept leadership responsibilities.   

IL Conservation Achievement Scholarship  - deadline: March 1st
HS seniors who demonstrate voluntary, long-term dedication to the preservation, protection, or enhancement of the state's natural resources. $2,000 scholarships available.  


CGH Medical Scholarships -  deadline: April 1, 2020

$1,000 scholarships for tuition to men/women enrolled in health-related educational programs, are residents of IL residing in area served by CGH Medical Center and meet criteria. Scholarships are renewable for four years.  Health-related areas do not include pre-requisites necessary before acceptance into a specific program and/or degree specialties including pre-med, pre-pharmacy, etc. 

Forreston State Bank Scholarship : deadline: April 1st
$1,000 scholarships for students based on their academic record, extracurricular and community involvement, leadership, well-defined goals, and personal references.  

TEACH Outdoors, Inc. Scholarship deadline: January 1, 2020
$500 scholarship for students who are IL residents and have 3.0 GPA. Applicants must submit an essay describing how you would help the great outdoors with $1 Million dollars and be willing to attend banquet if selected.

American Legion 2020 Essay Contest -  deadline: February 7 500 word essay on "What I can do to Unite Our Country".   Essay shall be turned into the local American Legion Post.   See flyer for detailed explanation.

 If you've made a difference through volunteering over the past year, you could win $1,000 and a fabulous trip to Washington, D.C.  Anyone grade 5-12 is eligible to apply.   You must have engaged in a volunteer activity within the last year.   Must complete application and submit it to Mrs.Burkholder.


PB&J Scholarship -  deadline: December 31, 2020
$500-$1,000 scholarships for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. No GPA requirements but letters of recommendation required!  


National Space Club Scholarship  - deadline: December 2, 2020
$10,000 scholarship to a senior in high school or college student who has the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend a college/university. Preference is given to students with space related interests.  

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship - deadline: January 5, 2021

National Scholarship that awards $10,000 renewable scholarships to students. Candidates must have a 3.0 GPA and embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home.

AXA Achievement Scholarship-  deadline: December 15th
Scholarships of $2,500, $10,000& $25,000 available. . .a winner in every state! Our scholarships winners are known as AXA Achievers. They are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities:   Ambition and drive, Determination to set and reach goals, Respect for self, family and community, & Ability to succeed in college


National FFA Scholarship - deadline: January 14th
Scholarship funded by Monsanto for America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders. Over $2 millions dollars will be awarded in scholarships.


Scholarship available to students wishing to continue their education in any post secondary school or accredited vocational/technical school, and be a US citizen. Applicants need not be affiliated with organization, but must be a resident of Illinois and a citizen of the United States.

Multiple scholarships offered to youth who have relation to Master Masons or are relatives to Scottish Rite Masons. Not all scholarships require family relations! Check out the website for more information.

Missy Free Memorial -   Deadline: March 16th 

Scholarship award that ANY senior can apply for - even those not headed to college!   Simply write a 1-2 page essay about yourself. See flyer for details.

6-$2,000 scholarships for females who are graduating in 2021. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be willing and available to compete in the Virtual Young Professional public speaking competition in May 2021.

Carroll County Democrat Scholarship  - deadline: April 10th

Open to residents of Carroll County who will be college students in 2021 and attending an IL college and/or out of state college that is within commuting distance.   Students should major in Political Science, Law, History, Journalism or related field.  
 
NINA Northern IL HS Journalism Scholarship-   deadline: April 9th
Eligibility: high school senior who demonstrates standards of honesty, integrity, hard work, and commitment to quality community journalism.  Students may be editors, writers, photographers, or graphic designers at high school newspapers and/or website, or a professional news publication either print or online with plans to major in journalism or communications.  See website for further details.


$1,000 scholarships to students who plan to advance their secondary education in the field of Agriculture, Building, or Welding. Interested students should submit an essay expressing why they are interested in the field of Ag/Building/Welding, their current involvement in related projects/activities, and what inspired them to pursue their career.  See attached flyer  for more details


Bradley University  - the Family and Consumer Sciences department has annual $4,000 scholarships for students going into Family and Consumer Sciences and related fields (hospitality, nutrition and dietetics, retail merchandising, etc.)
 FHN Scholarships -  deadline September 3, 2021
* Healthcare Career Scholarship - $1,000 for students currently enrolled in an accredited program of study
*Volunteer Resources Scholarship - $1,00 for students who are an active member of the FHN Student Volunteer Program with a minimum of 40 career hours.
*Diversity Healthcare Scholarship - $1,000 for minority students currently enrolled in accredited program of study involving healthcare and related fields.


Gongaware Scholarship  - deadline: December 1
Highly competitive scholarship for students at Indiana State University pursuing business related degree (insurance, risk management, and financial services). Over $36,000 for four years!   Must have 3.5 GPA, be in the top 15 percent of class and have a minimum 1140 SAT.   See attached flyer for details and where to apply.

Most Valuable Student Competition (Elks)  - deadline: November15th
  • Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply. Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks (however, applications must be turned into the nearest Elk lodge). Scholarships range from $1,000 to $12,500


  • Stokes Educational Scholarship Program  - deadline: October 31
    Open to High School Seniors planning to major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering.  With this you would attend college full-time, then work during the summer at NSA's main headquarters in Fort Meade, MD for a minimum of 12 weeks in areas related to course of study.   Qualifications:  US Citizen, HS Senior, eligible to gain security clearance, 3.0 GPA or higher (is preferred). Selected recipients will receive tuition assistance while also providing challenging summer work and guaranteed employment in their field upon graduation.

    VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship  - deadline: October 31
    Scholarships range from $1,000-$16,000.   Submit your entry to the local VFW post. It is a patriotic audio essay competition "America: Where do we go from here? "

    USDA Scholars Program : deadline: January 31st
    Scholarship opportunity for students pursuing a degree in agriculture, food, natural resources, or other related fields. Must attend certain schools (see letter for more information). This opportunity includes full tuition, fees, books, room and board, and a summer internship which may convert to full-time employment with USDA after graduation.

    1st Gateway Credit Union Scholarship : deadline: February 16
    Any person who is an account holder and planning to enroll as a full-time student OR is enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution can apply (community college, tech school, university, etc.).   $600 scholarship available!   Visit their  website  for complete list of credit unions.  

    Save Abandoned Babies Scholarship  - deadline: April 1st

    5-$1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in IL who will be attending college or a trade school in fall of 2022.  

    Blackhawk Area Credit Union : deadline: March 30th
    3-$300 scholarships to members of a BACU with an account in good standing.

    $2,000 scholarships to top high school senior science students. Must a be high school senior who is a resident of IL and plans to go to college.  All seniors are encouraged to apply!   Visit  WEBSITE   for details on how to apply.

    Carro ll County Crime Stoppers -  deadline: April 15th

    All Carroll County graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field are eligible to apply for this $300 scholarship. Application process is easy - just follow the directions on the attached flyer.  


    WQAD S.O.A.R. Scholarship - deadline: April 15, 2022
    3-$5,000 scholarships for seniors who best exemplify S.O.A.R. characteristics: S-Strength of character, O-Creating Opportunities to give back to the community, A-Achievement in academics and volunteerism, R-Resolve shown when faced with an adversarial situation. Application found at WQAD website  along with a complete list of rules.

    Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation In Memory of Jim Gaines Scholarship  - deadline: April 15
    $2,000-$4,000 scholarships available to graduating students in the USA who have lost a parent to colorectal cancer.  

    ILMA-LAKES Scholarship -  deadline: December 31st

    Scholarship for students who have a GPA of 2.5, are an IL resident, and enrolled in a natural resource discipline related to late and/or watershed management.  
    Technology Addition Award Scholarship   - deadline:   January 30th
    High school 9th - 12th graders can apply for this $1,000 scholarship.   Top 10 applications will be asked to write a full length essay about technology addition.   The initial application asks for a 140 character statement "instead of spending time with technology, I'd rather.   .   .

    QCESC Scholarship   - deadline:   January24, 2023
    The Quad City Engineering and Science Council is offering a scholarships between $1,000-$2,500 to students pursuing a STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) related degree at a 4 year university.   Criteria include:   high school senior, resident or Mercer/Rock Island/Henry/Whiteside/Carroll/Knox/Lee/Clinton/Scott/Muscatine/Louisa County, plan to study a STEM related career


    Hagan Scholarship Foundation    - deadline:   January 15th!    
    $6,000 scholarship per semester available!   Scholarship for students in the midwest from rural communities, have at least 3.5 GPA, enroll in an eligible four-year college or university the first semester after graduation and have worked in the past 12 months.     Must have applied for FAFSA to be considered and have adjusted household income that does not exceed $85,000.   Application found on website.   If you qualify, don't miss out!   (We've had two graduates receive this scholarship!   ).    

    Mediacom World Class Scholarship :   deadline:   February 28, 2023

    Over 50 - $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school students attending accredited post-secondary institution.   .   While it is not required that a student be a Mediacom customer, applicants must live in areas serviced by Mediacom.   A complete listings of all towns they service is in the application (Shannon and Lanark are included).    


    GFWC IL Federation Scholarships:    deadline:   March 1st
    $1,500 scholarships in areas of Art, Drama, Music, and Vocation.   Student must attend an IL college/university/community college in the Fall of 2023.   See application for specifics of each scholarship.    

    llinois American Veterans Scholarships   - deadline:   March 1st 
    Many scholarship possibilities!     Preference will be give to all applicants who are a child or grandchild of a Veteran.   See website for details.

    Flavorful Futures Scholarship  :   deadline:   February 28th
    $5,000 scholarship available to high school seniors who are pursuing higher education and using their passion to add flavor in their communities and beyond.   2.5 GPA required.   Visit website for details

    $2,000 scholarships to top senior high school science students who are seeking degrees in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or high school chemistry teaching.   This scholarship includes a second essay on   "How would you make the world  cleaner, healthier and safer for everyone".

    IL Chemical Education Foundation Scholarships       - deadline:   March 3, 2023
    Multiple $2,000 scholarships to top high school senior science students.   Must a be high school senior who is a resident of IL and plans to go to college and seek a degree in chemistry chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or high school chemistry teaching.    

    IL Sheriff's Association Scholarship      - deadline:    March 15
    $500 scholarship paid directly to the school on behalf of scholarship recipient.    Applicants must be IL residents and be attending college in the State of Illinois as a full-time student beginning in the fall of 203.

    Schardt Orthodontics Scholarship -   deadline:   March 31, 2023

    Any graduating senior who completed a full course of orthodontic treatment (braces on all teeth) or who are currently undergoing orthodontic treatment by Dr. Gregory Schardt and are pursuing further education in a vocational or technical school or college/university.   $300 scholarships will be given to all qualifying patients with atleast a 24 ACT composite or 1160 SAT composite and who complete a 1000 word essay on the subject of :   "The Importance of a Smile".

     

    Winners Pick Up - Losers Put Down Larry J. Meyers Memorial Scholarship - deadline: April 4th
    All seniors are eligible to apply for this $500 scholarship. Only requirement is to write a one page essay (see flyer for topic).  Make sure you include your name on your essay.
      
    Freedom Township Scholarship   -    deadline:     May 5th
    Write an essay on how township government effects you and what your future plans are. Students must live in Freedom Township.     See attached flyer for emailing instructions.

    Carroll County Cyrus Lodge Scholarship -    Deadline:     May 16th 
    Anyone can apply for this $1,000 scholarship.     See the attached flyer for info.

    At least 10 scholarships between the amounts of $1,000-$5,000.     Eligibility requirements include resident of state of IL, current HS senior in good standing, have significant hearing loss in one or both ears, exhibit financial need.

    Freeport Garden Club:   deadline:   April 30th

    $1,000 scholarship for students going to Highland and studying Agriculture or Horticulture.

    Quad Cities Community Foundation-    deadline:     February 15th

    QC Foundation awards over $250,000 to more than 60 students.     While many scholarships are aimed at QC High School students, there are some that Eastland students can apply for.     Many are also renewable.     Don't miss out.

    E-Waste Scholarship  :   deadline April 30th

    High school 9th - 12th graders can apply for this $1,000 scholarship.   Purpose of this scholarship is to educate students on the impact of e-waste and what can be done to reduce it.

    CGH Health Foundation Ed Anderson Healthcare Scholarship   :     deadline:     September 29th 
     Must be accepted into nursing program or other accredited healthcare program, 3.0 GPA, and reside in CGH Medical Center area.

    Prudential Emerging Visionaries - deadline: November 2nd
    Do you have a vision to transform your community - and the world - for the better? Applications are accepted from young leaders age 14-18 across America. $15,000 in awards available along with coaching on the implementation of their plan.

    Greenhouse Scholars      - deadline:     November21, 2023

    They are looking for high-performing, under-resourced students who have already demonstrated true leadership and positive community contributions.     Requirements include:     graduating high school senior planning to attend 4 year accredited institution, US citizen and legal resident of Colorado, Georgia, NY or Illinois, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above, annual household income no greater than $80,000, demonstrate strong interest and commitment to the community and an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, possess excellent leadership skills.
    National Honor Society Scholarship   - deadline is November 30th 
    Must be a National Honor Society member to apply.

    Taco Bell Live Mas Scholarship - deadline: January 3rd
    Must be a legal resident of the US and currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational program (colleges, universities, or tech schools).  Submit a 2 minute or less video about your passion and how you are planning to pursue. See website for more details. 

    Fehr Graham Scholarship - deadline: January 1st
    A scholarship for seniors heading into science, math, technology, or engineering. Must have a 2.8 GPA

    Burress Law Underdog Scholarship - deadline: December 13, 2023
    College students can apply as well as high school seniors who are entering college in January 2024. $2,000-$5,000 scholarships available to students who have demonstrated a record of community service and have persevered in the face of adversity. 

    Golden Apples Scholar-deadline   :     December 1st
    Tuition support offered to aspiring teachers, up to $23,000.     HS seniors, college freshmen and sophomores attending certain universities in IL are eligible to apply.     HS seniors must have 2.5 GPA.      Golden Apple Scholars must teach for 5 years in IL School-of-need within 7 years of graduation (from college).

    $1,000+ scholarship for future engineers.          If you meet requirements, apply!          There is usually a low turn out of applicants.          Must be HS senior, US citizen, live in certain counties (Carroll is one), and have 3.0 GPA, and attain SAT Math of 600 / SAT English of 500 .


    ComEd Future of Energy Scholarships - deadline: Jan 14th
    Students who have a 2.8 GPE and are enrolling in the following degree programs are eligible to apply: Engineering, finance/business, IT, Chemistry, mathematics, data analytics, computer science, and environmental and natural resources. 

    Dairy Farmers of America Cares Scholarship: deadline: Jan 12th
    HS seniors & current college students are eligible to apply. They want to know what your future plans, core values, and potential impact for the food and dairy industry are. See website for more details.

    Timberline Billing Services Scholarship   -      deadline:     January 16th
    Students will receive a $2,000 scholarship to pursue their dreams of higher education.     Student must have either an active IEP or have had one sometime in High School.     Our school does contracts with Timberline Billing so Eastland students are eligible to apply.
    Pheasants Forever (Carroll County Chapter)   - deadline:          February 1st

    $600 scholarships to a graduating senior from a Carroll County high school.          Children of long-standing members and Long Spur shooters residing outside of the county are also eligible to apply.          Applicant must support the preservation of and actively participate in the hunting sports.      


    Jim Vondra Memorial Scholarship (via PCE)-  deadline: February 1, 2024
    Pearl City Elevator will award $500 scholarships to students pursuing higher education.     Scholarship is based on scholastic achievement, leadership, need, and community involvement.

    PCE Trades Scholarship  - deadline:     February 1, 2024
    $500 scholarship awarded to an individual pursuing trades or skill-based training in honor of Jake Brubacher.    This includes certificate programs designed to develop skills including but not limited to welding, mechanics, aviation, and CDL driving programs. 

    $500 scholarships awarded to high school seniors based on scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture, and a perceived ability to contribute to the agricultural community in the future.     Students must be a high school senior graduating in 2024 and will be pursuing a 2-4 year degree in livestock production, crop production, or closely related field.

    IAA Foundation Scholarships       -       deadline:       February 15th
    The IAA Foundation is pleased to support the future of agriculture through education and especially to IL farm families, IL Farm Bureau members and their children.       There are MANY scholarships available - carefully read through the eligibility guidelines   

    CBAI Foundation For Community Banking Scholarship -  deadline:          February 10th
    $1,000 scholarship possible to seniors graduating from IL high schools.   Citizens Bank in Lena is sponsoring this scholarship.             Applications and essays would be turned into that bank!

    Bi-County General Ed Scholarship -     deadline:       February 15th
    Scholarship for HS seniors and college students who live within the eleven member district served by Bi-County (Eastland qualifies) and plan to go into Special Education as career OR a related field (i.e. psychology, physical therapy, speech therapy, etc).    

    Bi-County Special Education Scholarship -deadline    :       February 15th 

    Open to students who have a disability and attend schools serviced by Bi-County Coop (Eastland qualifies) and wish to see further education via trade school, college, or certificate program.

    Eligibility:     high school senior planning to enter college in the fall, strong commitment to pursue higher education in an office professional, secretarial, or business-related field within state of IL (preference given to U of I students), be involved in co-curriculuar activities and be a resident of IL.

    Carroll County Farm Bureau Scholarships    - deadline:     March 3rd 
    Six     - $1,000 scholarships for the CC Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship and 1 - $1,000 scholarship for the Harold Schmidt Memorial Forestry Scholarship.       CC Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship:       must be a Carroll County Farm Bureau member, major in agriculture, agribusiness, or Ag-related field, high school senior or current college student.     Andresen Farms Ag Scholarship-    deadline:       March 9th

    $1,000 scholarships to seniors graduating in Carroll County.       Eligibility requirements:       graduating senior in Carroll County high school, enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an accredited college, university, community college, or technical school, and must be majoring in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Ag-related course of study.

    Andresen Memorial Scholarship-     deadline:       March 9th
    $1,000 scholarships available in memory of Harold & Kay Andresen's sons Randy and Rodney.       Must be a graduating senior of Carroll County and enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an accredited college, university, community college, or technical school.

    The Quad City Engineering and Science Council is offering a scholarships between $1,000-$3,000 to students pursuing a    STEM     (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) related degree at a 4 year university.     Criteria include:     high school senior, resident or Mercer/RockIsland/Henry/Whiteside/Carroll/Knox/Lee/Clinton/Scott/Muscatine/Louisa County, plan to study STEM related degree at an accredited four year college or university.
